Elwyn, or "ET", as he was known, was born in 1934 on a farm near Winona, Kansas. He was the only child of Hazel June (Council) Taylor and Bert Jay Taylor. He graduated from McPherson College before going on to receive a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine....
